On Monday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath stated that Ayurveda and Yoga are intrinsically linked and share deep roots in India’s spiritual and healing traditions.
Gorakhpur: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Monday emphasized that Ayurveda, along with Yoga, holds a vital place in India’s ancient traditions and continues to guide holistic well-being.
“Ayurveda, Yoga, and the Nath tradition are deeply interconnected,” said the Chief Minister while addressing the gathering.
“Moksha, or liberation, is not only meant for those who have passed away — it signifies freedom while living as well,” he explained.
Praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he remarked, “There was a time when traditional practices were losing relevance, but under his leadership, India’s ancient knowledge systems like Ayurveda and Yoga have regained global recognition.”
Earlier, the Chief Minister underscored the importance of the upcoming Maha Kumbh 2025, calling it a historic and spiritual event that reflects India’s rich cultural heritage.
According to a press release, while speaking at the closing ceremony of the Gorakhpur Mahotsav, the Chief Minister highlighted the cultural and spiritual significance of the event.
He urged devotees to immerse themselves in India’s spiritual legacy by participating in the sacred ritual of bathing at the upcoming Maha Kumbh.
The Chief Minister announced that the Mahakumbh is being organized on a grand scale, spanning several weeks to accommodate millions of devotees.
